Call for applications for student assistants Academy Auction 2025 - 15h

This call for applications is aimed at students in the higher semesters (BA, MA, or Diploma studies) of the Academy who are interested in assisting in organizing the upcoming Academy Benefit Auction 2025 for 15h per week.
Responsibilities
- Communication with the donors of the works
- Organizing and carrying out the transportation of the work donations
- Obtaining agreements from the participating artists
- Selective assistance with the preparation of the printed material
- Assistance with the proofreading of German texts
- Helping to set up and dismantle the presentation of the works at the auction
- Supervision of the presented artworks during the viewing of the works and the auction
- Assistance in the post-auction processing (handing out of donations of works to buyers, possible return transport of unsold works)
Employment Requirements
- Proof of enrollment for the current semester before the beginning of the contract
- Proof of payment of the ÖH contribution for the current semester before signing the contract
- You must not have completed your studies during the period of employment.
Please note: Previous employment as a student employee at the Academy must have occurred at least 6 months previously.
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills, a sense for practical things
- Basic graphic skills (Photoshop, possibly InDesign)
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
- Affinity with social media platforms (Instagram)
- Good knowledge of contemporary art
- Excellent knowledge of German and English
- High social competence and communication skills, sociability
- Stress resistance
- Ability to work independently

The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna will pay you. You will receive a contract as a student assistant with a monthly gross salary of currently EUR 974,7 plus special payments for 15 hours per week from October 14, 2024, to February 27, 2025. The working hours can be arranged by agreement. It is not possible to take up another position as a student assistant at the Academy during the period in question.
