Artistic collaboration in the summer program of bilding in Innsbruck

The art and architecture school bilding is a creative open space for children and young people, which has built its experimental home in the Rapoldi City Park in Innsbruck since 2015. bilding supports young people in discovering and further developing their creative interests, skills and artistic talents. In the bilding-studios, design experiences are gathered together with artists and architects in painting, sculpture, architecture, graphic design, photography, film and new media, and artistic development processes are initiated and implemented experimentally.

Within the frame of the cooperation between bilding and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, students of the Academy are addressed, who are interested in artistic-experimental work with children and young people. Two positions are offered for the following periods: 15. - 19. July or 22. - 26. July or 29. July - 2. August 2024. Students may apply for one or even both positions.

 

⇒ Participation in the team of the bilding summer academy

  • Artistic-experimental mediation work in a large team
  • Duration: 1-2 weeks
  • Application requirement: regular study at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna

Application documents (to be submitted as PDF with max. 5 MB and max. 10 pages):

  • Short letter of motivation with information on experiences in the field of art, architecture, mediation

 

⇒ Design and implementation of a workshop

  • Implementing a mediation concept from art or architecture with a small team
  • Duration: 1 week
  • Application requirement: regular study at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna
  • Mediation experience with children and young people is preferable

Application documents (to be submitted as PDF with max. 5 MB and max. 15 pages):

  • Short letter of motivation with information on previous experiences in the field of art, architecture, mediation
  • Concept of a project idea for the workshop

What is offered:
  • Compensation of expences 650 € per person/week
  • Refund of travel costs (2nd class train ticket)
  • Accommodation: max. 550 € per person/week
