Call for Content: You want to share information about your studies at the Academy?

For the new online platform for study information Kiosk, we invite students of the Academy to submit ideas for digital contributions about their experiences around studying at the Academy in different digital formats for the Kiosk. The call for submissions is open to regular students of the Academy.

An open project briefing will take place on Tuesday, 9 April 2024 at 5:00 pm. Online via ZOOM:

Target groups for content on the online platform:

The platform addresses in particular school students, young adults, and those career changers for whom access to knowledge about artistic professions and study opportunities is difficult due to their social and local conditions.

The following topics can be worked on:

  • “How I prepared my application” Tips and experiences on the application at the Academy
  • "How I Created My Portfolio." Insights into portfolio design
  • Insight into student’s daily life in workshops, labs, etc.
  • Study experience in your study program, the respective studios or study focus (from all institutes)
  • Experiences and tips on all topics around studying, daily student life, educational pathways
  • Possibly additional content based on your own suggestions, experiences, and ideas

Possible digital formats:

  • Blog post with image-slideshow
  • Short video (max. 1:30min) incl. transcript of text for subtitles
  • Podcast format (audio)
  • other formats based on own suggestions

All contributions should offer at least an alternative text in English or German.

Equipment for the production (camera, recorder, microphones, tripods, lighting etc.) can be borrowed if required.


The selected entries will receive an expense depending on the format.

  • 200€ for text contribution with image-slideshow
  • 400€ for podcast format including transcript in English and German
  • 400€ for a Video without text
  • 500€ for a video including text and transcript in English and German

Documents required for submission:

  1. concept (max. 5 MB)
    1. Project description (1 page A4 format)
    2. Project-related work samples/sketches
  2. portfolio with previous artistic works (max. 5 MB max. 10 pages)
  3. curriculum vitae

The submission documents should be uploaded collectively as one Pdf document (max. 10 MB) via the Calls-platform.

The application, as well as the contributions can be in German or English.


The jury consists of Christina Fasching (Student Welcome Center), Barbora Chen (Academy Goes to School), Antje Lehn (IKA), one person representing IBK/IKL, student assistant (Student Welcome Center), Ingeborg Erhart (Vice Rector Arts and Teaching).

Scheduled Timeline:

  1. Application deadline: 22 April
  2. Project briefing for interested parties: 9 April, 17:00 h
  3. Processing period: from mid May to beginning of July
