Call for Content: You want to share information about your studies at the Academy?

For our study information platform Kiosk, we invite Academy students to submit ideas for digital content about their experiences around studying at the Academy in various digital formats. This call is open to regular students at the Academy.

Target groups for content on Kiosk:
Kiosk is aimed in particular at high school students, young adults, and career changers for whom access to information about artistic professions and study opportunities is difficult due to their social and local conditions.
The following topics may be addressed:
- Tips and experiences regarding the application process to the Academy
- Experiences at the start of studies at the Academy, content of my program
- Insights into everyday student life, e.g., in the department, in workshops, labs, etc.
- Interesting and special places at the Academy (e.g., KSG Institute building, Kurzbauergasse, Kelsenstraße, Paintings Gallery, Glyptothek, etc.)
- Study experiences from your own study program, department, or area of specialization (particularly Education in the Arts, Conservation & Restoration, Scenography, possibly the Master in Critical Studies, PhD)
- Social and psychosocial topics: challenges, issues, support, etc.
- Insights into interdisciplinary projects, exhibitions, artistic work, group projects, and events
- Individual educational paths (see Kiosk/educational pathsways for examples)
- Additional content based on your own suggestions, experiences, and ideas
Possible digital formats:
- Blog post with image slideshow
- Short video (approx. 1:30 min) including text transcript and subtitles
- Podcast format (audio) including text transcript
- Your own suggestions
All contributions should offer at least one text alternative in English or German.
Production equipment (camera, recorder, microphones, tripods, lighting, etc.) can be borrowed if needed.
Remuneration:
Selected contributions will receive an expense allowance of between €200 and €500, depending on the estimated time required, and will be determined after the submissions have been selected.
Documents required for submission:
- Concept (max. 5 MB)
- Project description (1 page, A4 format)
- Project-related work samples/sketches, including an estimate of the time required in hours
- Portfolio of previous artistic work (max. 5 MB, max. 10 pages)
- Curriculum Vitae
The submission documents should be uploaded as a single PDF file (max. 10 MB) via the Calls platform.
The application and the submissions may be in German or English.
Jury:
The jury consists of Christina Fasching (Student Welcome Center), Barbora Chen (Akademie geht in die Schule), a representative from an institute, a representative from the BfÖ/PR office, Rogin Mougoui (Student Welcome Center), and Ingeborg Erhart (Vice Rector for Art and Teaching)
Scheduled timeline:
- Application deadline: April 29
- Project briefing for interested parties: April 17, 1:00 PM
- Work period: mid-May to early July
