THE EDITH
Edition project for contemporary printmaking

Submission deadline: October 2, 2024, 11:00 a.m.

DAS EDITH is a collective project that brings together young artists and explores the possibilities of contemporary art in edition form. Once a year, artistic questions about the original and reproduction of images are presented through an exhibition, individual artworks and a portfolio.

Since 2017, the Department of Graphic Arts has realized the edition project DAS EDITH, in which only students of the Department of Graphic Arts have collected their prints in an annual edition and exhibited and sold them as individual sheets. This year, submissions for participation in the project are open to students from all departments and institutes. Students will be selected by a jury and receive artistic and technical supervision from teachers in the workshops from October to December 2024. The resulting works will be presented in an exhibition in December and at the Academy's Rundgang in January 2025, and will be shown and sold on the homepage http://www.dasedith.at. The proceeds will go to the respective artist after covering the project costs.
