Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobilities for PhD Students

The program enables:
- Networking and exchange with international colleagues
- New input for research work
Multiple stays are possible.
Target group
All PhD students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna
Duration
Erasmus+ supports short-term mobilities with a duration of 5 to 30 days (within the budgetary limits).
Procedure
- Contact the International Office (international@akbild.ac.at) and discuss your plans. The International Office then contacts the partner university and has the Learning Agreement signed (ECTS points are not a prerequisite for the stay).
- The Learning Agreement prepared by the International Office is signed by the mobile person.
Applications are possible on an ongoing basis.
ERASMUS+ Grant
The Erasmus+ funding amounts to 79 euros per day for the first 14 days of the stay and 56 euros per day for the remaining days (up to a maximum of 30 days). It also includes a contribution to the travel costs. This contribution depends on the distance and the means of transportation. The contribution is higher for the use of environmentally friendly travel (Bus, Train, Bike, Car-pooling).
Destinations
Please note that only ERASMUS+ countries are eligible for short-term PhD mobilities:
EU Member States + Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Marcedonia, Norway, Serbia, Türkiye
The supported PhD students receive...
- financial support for your stay abroad, depending on the country of destination
- Support in the preparation and implementation of the stay abroad (cultural, linguistic, organizational)
- Special grants for recipients with disabilities
