Social stipend (retrospectively for summer semester 2026)

Deadline: Sunday, Nov 15, 2026, 11:00am

The Social Stipend provides support to enrolled students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in covering their tuition fees. Applications must be submitted retrospectively for the previous semester that has already been completed. The call is open to both current students and graduates who completed their studies in the previous semester and have not received a refund from any other scholarship provider.

1 October - 15 November | 11:00 am

Necessary for submission

a readable scan or photo of your residence registration certificate (“Meldezettel”)
your confirmation of enrolment (Studienbestätigung) for the summer semester 2026

Doctoral students who are required to enter into a dissertation agreement within their first year must have an approved agreement in place to be awarded the social stipend.

Application

An application is only possible via https://calls.akbild.ac.at/.

To use our submission system https://calls.akbild.ac.at/ you have to register once (if you do not have access yet) - please use your @student.akbild.ac.at address to identify yourself as a student. Login is not possible with the AkademieOnline password, as this is a separate system.

If you completed or terminated your studies in summer semester 2026 and don't have access to your @student.akbild.ac.at account anymore, please write to akademiestipendien@akbild.ac.at.

Please keep in mind that the deadlines listed above must be strictly adhered to. Applications that are submitted too late or are incomplete cannot be considered.
