Social stipend (retrospectively for WiSe 2025/26)

Deadline: Friday, May 15, 2026, 11:00am

All regular students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna who have paid tuition fees in the preceding semester and didn't receive a refund from another institution are welcome to apply retrospectively for a social stipend in the following semester. The stipend is directed to current students as well as alumni who finished their studies in the preceding semester.

1 April – 15 May | 11:00 am

Necessary for submission

A readable scan or photo of your residence registration certificate (“Meldezettel”)
Your confirmation of enrolment (Studienbestätigung) for the winter semester of 2025/26

Concerning applications of PhD students who are enrolled already more than one year in the doctoral program for which a doctoral agreement has to be done during first year of study, the existence of an approved agreement will be checked.

An application is only possible via https://calls.akbild.ac.at/. To use our submission system https://calls.akbild.ac.at/, you must register once (if you do not already have access).
Please use your @student.akbild.ac.at address to identify yourself as a student.
Login is not possible with the AkademieOnline password, as this is a separate system.
If you completed or terminated your studies in the winter semester 2025/26 and don't have access to your @student.akbild.ac.at account anymore, please write to akademiestipendien@akbild.ac.at.

Only applications with complete information and documents that conform to the criteria listed above can be considered. Please keep in mind that the deadlines must be strictly adhered to; applications that are submitted too late or incomplete cannot be considered at all.
