Call for Applications for a student assistant project Plattform Vielfalt: Project Documentation and Workshop Organization

For the project "Encouraging Diversity: Developing a process-oriented information and communication platform for art studies fostering social inclusion" we are looking for a student assistant to support the project documentation and workshop organization at the interface to "Academy goes to school" starting in June 2023 for the duration of 7 months. The call is addressed to regular students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Qualifications:

  • Very good knowledge of the application and admission procedures at the Academy
  • Experience in organizing events
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a self-organized manner, structured approach to work
  • Sensitivity to diversity, gender competence and anti-discriminatory competence
  • Interest in the target group of young people / students
  • Experience with common IT applications (Office) and graphic programs
  • High affinity to social media applications for the target group of people interested in studying
  • Very good knowledge of the German and English language, further language skills would be an advantage
  • Knowledge about living, working and studying in Vienna and in Austria

Your tasks are:

  • Supporting the documentation of project-relevant activities and workshops already carried out at the interface between "Platform Diversity" and "Academy Goes to School"
  • Participation in the organization and implementation, as well as subsequent documentation of project-relevant events
  • Planning and creation of project-relevant website and social media contributions
  • Collaboration with the project team
  • Own ideas are welcome

Formal Requirements:

  • Proof of enrolment in the current semester of study prior to the start of the contract
  • Proof of payment of the ÖH fee for the current semester before signing the contract
  • The studies may not be completed during the period of employment
  • A previous employment as a student employee at the Academy must have taken place at least 6 months beforehand
  • It is not possible to hold an additional position as a student employee at the Academy at the same time
  • Third-country nationals require an employment permit without a labour market examination from the AMS before the start of the contract and the start of work:

Payment is provided by the project funds at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Students will receive a contract as a student employee with a monthly gross salary of EUR 476,- plus special payments for 8 hours per week from June 15 - December 31, 2023.

Working hours can be arranged after consultation with the project lead. Vacation and compensatory time are to be consumed after consultation.
